La voglia di scrivere i versi di “Saglie d’a terra” mi venne al ritorno dal Santuario della Madonna di Castello a Somma Vesuviana un 3 maggio di un anno che non ricordo. L’emozione di essere lì, avvolto dal calore della devozione dei cantori e dei danzatori, la percezione forte che dalla terra, confine tra vita e morte, una musica risorgesse dalle sue stesse viscere quando il tempo della storia sospende il suo corso, e grazie a lei poter ri-vivere il mito. La musica scritta da Gianni ha trasformato in una canzone questo testo, che in modo bizzarro contiene un misto di napoletano e termini dialettali della campagna romana. (B. Sorani)
